Mr. Jumanne Kitto
Jumanne Kitto was a generous man.
He gave his life to humanity.
His kindness and compassion for other
was displayed by the efforts he put into the school,
the students and, most important, his family every moment of his day.
Rest was not a word in his vocabulary.
His Dream was to build a new Vocational Training Center
for the poorest people in Tanzania to learn skills to continue on in life.
Mr. Kitto passed away from heart failure on May 15th 2007.
He will be remembered daily by his wife, Mrs. Santina Kitto,
his 5 children,
students and friends for his endurance to survive in this world
without fear and pass his knowledge and spirit on to others.
He was the Father of BVTC
He is now BVTC’s Grandest Angel.
Our vision is to help the unfortunate youth of Tanzania, to give them an opportunity that otherwise they would not receive because of many different family dynamics, poverty, single parenting and illness being the most obvious.
We want to increase their chances of survival through education.
Our objective is to teach self-reliance. Believing in the importance of continued support to expand a strong foundation for the youth now living in Tanzania is the most viable way to provide them a safe dependable future.
For every student that graduates from BVTC, Tanzania will prosper and become a stronger country.

Kindness is truly embroidered
within a person.
It is not a quality that develops throughout time.
It is a piece born of the heart and soul.
The late Mr. Kitto and Mrs. Kitto
started working as primary schools teachers in 1974- 1977. In 1998-1990
they taught tailoring at the Folk Development Collages, an adult
education program. In 1990 - 1994 they taught at Leguruki V.T.C.
1994-1996 they were employed by Private Center Hai, V.T.C. Mrs. Kitto
also worked with Umoja V.T.C., (LAWATE).
They started Bomang'ombe VTC in 1996, without any financial assistance.
Their devotion, diverse teaching skills were their resources.
They registered BVTC with the Vocational Education and Training
Association, (VETA) in 1998 to gain recognition of school.
Through all their trials and tribulations they continue to survive
with little assistance.
Brief History:
There is a large growing
population of youth in Bomang’ombe and in Tanzania. The majority of them
have finished primary education and some secondary education.
Unfortunately, they are not given the option to continue their studies
during this crucial time of adolescence. As a result of disease, lack of
educational funding and a weakened economy (to name just a few reasons)
the younger generation do not receive the guidance or training to
warrant them employment or self-employment. Given these circumstances,
they resort to wandering the streets and begging resulting into higher
state of poverty, disease and violent behavior.
Tanzania's existence belongs to the youth of our country. Without them we can not survive. We believe that educating our young with basic vocational skills will inspire them to move forward into a healthier satisfied life.
Bomang'ombe is dedicated to the development of education. Our objective is to teach self-determination.
Volunteer program; volunteers and visitors are welcomed and accepted throughout the year. We will discuss all options available for you and make all the necessary arrangements for you to join our team.
Donations; 100% of the all the funds donated to BVTC are used directly towards the specific purpose the donor requested. Whether it is use to help purchase school supplies, medical supplies, build a fence, a new Vocational Training Center the funds are used as it should be. A Trust account is set up for this reason. Our lawyer oversees this trust. After receiving contributions for specific reasons he then will deposit the funds into a private bank account in the United States, which is accessible to the Consultant in Tanzania. He will provide to the Consultant and the Director of BVTC a complete description of how the funds will be spent. A receipt and complete statement is returned to the supporter. This assures that 100% of the contributions are secured.
